Singapore

We list 14 pickleball venues in Singapore, spread from the city centre to the heartlands. Central options include MBP Sports @ Marina Square, Kings Pickleball Arena in Outram, The Kallang Hard Courts beside the National Stadium and the hotel court at Four Seasons Hotel Singapore off Orchard Road. Further out there are courts in Sengkang, Serangoon, Bedok, Tanah Merah, Jurong East, Bukit Panjang, Yishun and Jalan Kayu. The mix covers private clubs, ActiveSG public courts, the HomeTeamNS Khatib members' clubhouse and a leisure venue, Pickle Splash @ Wild Wild Wet in Pasir Ris.

The cheapest courts are public. Sengkang Sport Centre starts at S$3.50 an hour and ActiveSG Courts @ Farrer Park at S$4.50, both ActiveSG venues booked through MyActiveSG+, and The Kallang Hard Courts start at S$5.50; these are off-peak rates for citizens and PRs. Private clubs usually charge S$12 to S$25 per court per hour off-peak, from S$12 at Smashing Pickle Club in Jurong East and Pickle Splash to S$24 at Kings Pickleball Arena. Air-conditioned indoor courts cost more, with Play! Pickle Serangoon from S$38. The largest venue is The Sports Arina @ Singapore Expo with 14 indoor courts, and the Sports Arina site at Jalan Kayu has 10.

Most of Singapore's courts are outdoors, so expect heat in the middle of the day and sudden afternoon showers. Covered and indoor courts, such as Farrer Park inside the Little India Bus Terminal, are a safer bet in wet weather. Off-peak rates usually apply on weekday daytimes, and evening and weekend slots go quickly, so book a few days ahead. Open play runs at MBP Sports, Smashing Pickle Club, Play! Pickle Serangoon and The Sports Arina @ Jalan Kayu, and most private clubs offer coaching.
