Pickleball Go Where lists 17 pickleball venues in Thailand: 10 in Bangkok, 3 each in Chiang Mai and Phuket, and 1 in Hua Hin. Bangkok has the widest choice, mostly indoor clubs on the eastern side of the city in Khlong Toei, Phra Khanong, Suan Luang and Bang Na, plus the free public hall at Benchakitti Sports Center. Outside the capital there are community and club courts in Chiang Mai, club, sports centre and resort courts in Phuket, and the 8-court Sports Life Hua Hin.
Court hire in Bangkok usually costs ฿400 to ฿750 per court per hour, with SukSpace at ฿1,800 at the top end, and open play sessions cost around ฿170 to ฿300 per person. Prices are lower in the north: Chiang Mai Rally House charges ฿250 an hour and BokBok Pickleball ฿200, while Chiang Mai Pickleball Club asks ฿20 a day after a free first visit. Sports Life Hua Hin charges ฿300 an hour. Hotel courts at The Peninsula Bangkok and Pullman Phuket Karon Beach Resort are open to outside players by booking.
Open play is common across Thailand and is the simplest way to join a game if you are travelling alone. Many Bangkok clubs are air-conditioned, which helps in the hot season from March to May. Outdoor courts in Phuket and Chiang Mai are best early in the morning or late in the afternoon, and evening slots at Bangkok clubs are worth booking a few days ahead.
